Diana Ross among new performers announced for Fallsview & OLG Stage

Fallsview Casino Resort is gearing up for our “Hot Summer Concert Series” at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino starting Victoria Day weekend.

Kicking the Canadian holiday off right is the legendary and iconic Diana Ross on May 18.

Then in June, the hot summer concert series continues with Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit hitting the stage on June 23, followed by American rock band favorite Steve Miller Band on June 28. Rocking the stage on June 29 into Canada Day weekend is the globally celebrated award-winning rock band Nickelback.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome the amazing Diana Ross, rock icons Nickelback and the incomparable Steve Miller Band to the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino,” said Cathy Price, vice president of marketing for Niagara Casinos. Diana Ross is a national treasure with a magnificent legacy that has changed the course of music history and popular culture. She has an unprecedented career that has made her the most successful recording artist and entertainer of all time. Her magic has touched music, fashion, stage, film and TV. In 1993, she earned a Guinness World Record for her success in the U.S. and U.K. by having more hits than any other female artist on the charts with a career total of more than 75. Her voice, described as “honey” and “angelic,” has over 100 million streams, downloads and sales around the world.

2023 Canadian Music Hall of Fame recipients, and Diamond-certified selling group Nickelback were named the “most successful rock band of the decade” by Billboard in 2009. Globally celebrated for their career defining and award-winning hits “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” “Far Away” and “Rockstar,” the four-piece comprised of Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger and Daniel Adair is one of the most commercially viable and important acts of the past two decades. Their success includes worldwide sales of more than 50 million units, solidifying their status as one of the top-selling acts of all time and the second best-selling foreign act in the U.S., in the first decade of the 2000s (behind only The Beatles). Their inescapable and irresistible smash “How You Remind Me” was named Billboard’s “Top Rock Song of the Decade” and was the most played song on U.S. radio (any format) according to Nielsen Soundscan, with over 1.2 million spins.

The Steve Miller Band, an American rock act, formed in 1966 and is led by Steve Miller on guitar and lead vocals. The group had a string of mid- to late-1970s hit singles that are staples of classic rock, as well as several earlier psychedelic rock albums. The band debuted its first album, “Children of the Future,” in 1968 and went on to produce the albums “Sailor,” “Brave New World,” “Your Saving Grace,” “Number 5,” “Rock Love,” “Fly Like an Eagle” and “Book of Dreams,” among others. The band’s “Greatest Hits 1974-78,” released in 1978, sold over 13 million copies.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit first collaborated on the release of a self-titled album in 2009. In 2011, the collaboration continued with the release of “Here We Rest.” The track “Alabama Pines” was named Song of the Year at the 2012 Americana Music Awards. “The Nashville Sound” was released in 2017, winning the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album, with Isbell winning an additional Grammy Award for Best American Roots Song. In 2020, the group released “Reunions,” with the song “Be Afraid” hitting No. 5 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart. In 2021, they released a cover album, “Georgia Blue,” which was a collaboration by various artists, and contributed a cover of the Metallica song “Sad But True.” Isbell has also won four Grammy Awards between 2001-07.

Joining Jason Isbell and The 400 unit is special guest Courtney Marie Andrews. Her genre-blending music combines elements of alternative folk, indie-rock and country. Andrews’ muse-like voice, combined with folksy instrumentals and personal yet relatable lyrics, create a show-stopping live performance.
